A Deception Bigger Than Flat Earth?
Learn the strong Satanic delusion that has zapped hope from millions of Christians.
As evil accelerates, Christians are a buzz with thoughts about the return of Christ. Many are certain that
The end of the world is at hand;
We are living in the last days; and
Prophecy is unfolding before our eyes.
The truth is, people have been predicting the Return of Christ for millennia. Read about 1857 Years of Failed Predictions here.
Why such a fascination with the end — and what does the Bible say about it?
I propose that the Christian church has fallen under the spell of a satanic delusion much stronger than the globalist lie about the shape of our earth. The deception is so fierce that Christians have lost the true purpose of the church. This satanic stronghold presents itself in a system of theology that divides the body of Christ, diminishes the Word of God, and sucks the power of the cross out of Christianity. Dispensationalism is a false construct that has tricked the world into thinking evil is good and good is evil. Thankfully, more and more Christians are starting to name it as the evil it is. Learn about the occult origins of Dispensationalism here.
As a disclaimer: It is the foundations and teachings of Dispensationalism that are evil at the core. However, the people who believe and teach the system can still be saved so long as they hold to the tenets of the Christian faith, such as salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, and in Christ alone, etc.
However, this Dispensational satanic system has deceived people into believing the lie that this world belongs to Satan and that we cannot stop him from wreaking evil upon the Earth. Many Christians rejoice as the days get more evil (calling evil good) because they believe it means that Christ will return sooner. Other Christians have stepped out of trying to change culture because they think it will help usher in the end times (calling good evil). As a result, the belief that Satan wins upon the Flat Earth becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy of doom and gloom. Why? Because Christians stop fighting the evil.
And I believe that was one of Satan’s major motives for introducing Dispensationalism into mainstream Christianity.
Convince your enemy that he will gain very little by attacking you; this will diminish his enthusiasm — Sun Tzu.1
It is thought that dispensational Bible teacher, J. Vernon McGee, coined the phrase: “You don’t polish brass on a sinking ship.” Why? Because it’s futile.
We must tear down this idol of Dispensationalism and see instead what the Bible says about our victory over the devil and the events that must happen before Christ returns.
I guarantee the Bible tells a different story!
Let’s clear up a few details about who owns this world.
Does the Earth Belong to Satan or Christ?
Of all the lies in the world, this one is the most damning for the human race. Let’s look at two verses that “seem” to promote that Satan (anti-Christ) rules this world and not Christ.
1 John 5:19b: The whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one.
2 Corinthians 4:3-4: But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age (some versions say “god of this world”) has blinded.
The writers here seem to say that Satan is the god of this world and that the entire world lies under his sway. As a result, Christians shake their head and say, “What can we do?”
To be sure, Satan is the ruler of the “world system,” i.e., everything that is opposed to Christ. What is in the “world system”? 1 John 2:16 defines the “world system” or “anti-Christ system” as “the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life.” These things, say John are “not of the Father but . . . of the world.”
Does this mean that the world is evil and God grants Satan the crown rights over creation? No! Christ, the Father, and the Spirit together made all things in the space of six days, and all VERY good. Jesus came to SAVE the world from sin, Satan, and self — and to restore the world to Eden-like conditions “far as the curse is found.” The world itself is not evil. To say the world is evil is to buy into a heresy called “Gnosticism” — which teaches that flesh and matter are vile and only the spirit matters. It is the same anti-Christ teaching that denies that Jesus came in the flesh (1 John 4:3).
Everything God created is VERY good (Genesis 1:31). Satan takes what is good and corrupts it through the “world system” which he has ruled over ever since the Fall.
As Christians, our job is to destroy the works of the devil. This is the very reason that Christ came the FIRST time.
“He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil” (1 John 3:8).
The whole world system does lie in the hands of the evil one. It is our job to take it back for Christ. That’s WHY He came.
Satan does blind the minds of people even in this age. But we are to fight against this anti-Christ deception with our spiritual weapons.
“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ” (2 Cor. 10:4-5).
Who owns this earth? God does.
“The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness, The world and those who dwell therein” (Psalm 24:1). All that was lost at the Fall was bought back by Jesus Christ at the cross. Why? So we could with Him crush the head of the serpent, the devil — and all his minions.
And we MUST win the battle. For God has ordained it so, commissioned us to do so, and empowered us to accomplish it.
And that’s what I’m going to talk about now.
Power Over the Enemy
Perhaps your faith is weak. Let God’s Word renew your mind. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17).
Here’s what the Bible says about Satan’s present doom and our power over him as Christians because of the cross of Christ. Our present hope is NOT in the rapture or Return. It is in the Cross. Embrace the truth; God’s Word is truth (John 17:17); and the truth will set you free (John 8:32).
Consider and look up each verse yourself in your Bible:
Christ disarmed, put to shame, and triumphed over all devils at the cross (Colossians 2:15)
Jesus says He saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven (Luke 10:18)
God is in the process of crushing Satan under our feet (Romans 16:20)
Jesus has bound the strongman so we can plunder his house (Matthew 12:29)
When we resist the devil, he must flee (James 4:7)
Jesus came the first time to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8)
Satan can no longer deceive the nations as he once did (Revelations 20:1-3)2
We can overcome anti-Christ because He who is in us is greater (1 John 4:3-4)
With the whole armor of God, we can stand against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11)
The shield of faith extinguishes all the darts of the evil one (Ephesians 6:16)
The gates of Hell will not prevail against the church (Matthew 16:18)
Jesus destroyed the devil at the cross (Hebrews 2:14)
Demons are subject to us in the name of Christ (Luke 10:17)
The Holy Spirit convicts the world of judgment because the ruler of this world is judged (John 16:11)
God has delivered us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of His Son (Colossians 1:13)
The ruler of this world has been cast out (John 12:31)
The evil one cannot touch those who are turning from their sin (1 John 5:18)
Satan cannot touch us without God’s permission (Luke 22:31; see also Job)
With Christ at God’s right hand, angels, authorities, and powers are subject to Him (1 Peter 3:22).
Beloved, this is not an exhaustive list. There are many additional promises and proclamations that the devil is losing his control over this Flat Realm.
Don’t look to Instagram, FB, Social Media, Mainstream Media, Alternative Media, or even your Pastor for the truth. Look to the Bible.
For we walk by faith and not by sight.
Over 2000 years ago, Jesus said: “NOW is the judgment of this world; NOW the ruler of this world will be cast out” (John 12:31).
Satan received a fatal blow at the CROSS. The church is merely the mop-up crew, or so we ought to be.
Satan doesn’t win down here. Christ does.
With faith, we can overcome the devil and his evil schemes.
For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. 1 John 5:4
What Is The Purpose of the Church?
Did you think the purpose of the church was to save souls? If so, you’re thinking too small. YES, that is part of the mission. But let’s look at the entire mission:
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. Matthew 28:18-20
Let’s sum that up into three points:
Disciple the nations
Baptize the nations
Teach the nations to observe God’s Law
We have been given all the power needed to accomplish this. All we need is the faith. Dispensationalism and other doom-and-gloom doctrines of worse and worse have taken the power out of the blood of Christ.
The enemy has convinced us that we will gain very little by attacking him; and it has diminished our enthusiasm.
The Bible says of Jesus Christ that “it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross” (Colossians 1:19-20).
What are the ALL things that God wants to reconcile to Himself through the cross?
“For by Him [Christ] all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.” Colossians 1:16
To what end?
“That in all things He (Christ) may have the preeminence.” Colossians 1:18
That’s the purpose of the church: To declare Christ’s preeminence over all things. And He will get what He paid for.
The Scriptures cannot be broken.
“Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. The last enemy thatwill be destroyed is death. For “He has put all things under His feet.” But when He says “all things are put under Him,” it is evident that He who put all things under Him is excepted. Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all.” 1 Corinthians 15:24-28
Christ’s Present Ruling and Reigning
The Bible teaches that Jesus Christ is presently sitting at the right hand of God ruling and reigning (Mark 16:19; Hebrews 1:3) — and we are ruling with him (Revelation 5:10; Daniel 7:27; 1 Corinthians 6:2; Ephesians 2:6). We are called to bring His Law-word to bear on all of society. When we take up our mighty spiritual weapons against Satan and his demons — they must fall. God promises.
We are not waiting for a kingdom. We are IN the kingdom. Consider these verses:
Matthew 5:3: Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is [present tense] the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 12:28: But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you.
Mark 1:14-16: Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.”
Colossians 1:13: He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love.
Revelation 1:9: I, John, both your brother and companion in the tribulation and kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was on the island that is called Patmos for the word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Admittedly, there is an already/not yet element to this kingdom. It is a present reality and it will continue to grow until the whole earth is leavened by the message of the gospel.
But when the church is unfaithful, and not fighting back the enemy, then God is faithful to give us over to wickedness until we repent. That’s where we are today. But when a nation repents, God will relent of all the judgments He has planned for it (Jeremiah 18:8).
The church must repent of her unfaithfulness to bring God’s Law to bear on all of society, including civil governments, medicine, philosophy, cosmology, business, ethics, sexuality, science, physics, farming, family, and every other discipline on earth.
It all belongs to Christ. And all things are subject to Him.
So, in conclusion, what has to happen before Christ returns? All His enemies must be made subject to Him. And we must proclaim the Lordship of Christ over all creation until God’s glory covers the earth as the waters cover the sea. That is our Christian duty. Any other is dereliction at best and treason at worst.
We are not to abandon any ground to the devil. We are to come at him with our Swords twirling until not a vestige of his evil kingdom is left on earth. When the church attacks Satan’s kingdom with that kind of vigor — it will fall to the ground.
God promises that the zeal of the Lord of Hosts will accomplish it.
For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.Of the increase of His government and peace
There will be no end,
Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom,
To order it and establish it with judgment and justice
From that time forward, even forever.
The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.Isaiah 9:6-7
From what time and forever more? From the time that the child was born!
Christ’s first coming was the central event in history that would pave the way for truth, justice, righteousness, and peace — on earth as it is in heaven.
It’s time to stop focusing on the end of the world — and start focusing on the power of the cross.
Don’t buy into the Satanic deception that we cannot take this world back for Christ. That is WHY Christ came in the first place. Let’s start crushing Christ’s enemies under our feet through the power of the cross, one demonic stronghold at a time.
Our faith can overcome the world.
Do you believe?
This is commonly attributed to Sun Tzu’s The Art of War — but I couldn’t verify it.
I cannot commend to you enough Phillip Kayser’s 100+ sermon series on the book of Revelation. It is the most scholarly, well-researched, easy-to-understand, and mind-blowing series on Revelation I have ever listened to. This is material you’ll want to binge-listen to and then carefully study. I highly recommend listening in chronological order. The first sermon is at the bottom of the page. Check the dates they were preached.
