Martin Luther is another historical person who wrote against the heliocentric model.

Yes. Faulkner distinguishes between heliocentrism, geocentrism, and flat earth. Even this he distorts. I will eventually get there. I’ve been recovering from a long illness and a move, which has slowed me down. But I’m praying the Lord has me back in the saddle to continue what I started.

Sorry to hear you have been ill. I am glad you are feeling better. You should look into chlorine dioxide. George Hobbs “The Fact Hunter” just did a couple of episodes on it. He provides some good links in his show notes. I have yet to make time to learn how to make it and use it yet but I intend to soon.

Fantastic!

Great articles!

I've never read aboutvthis gentleman...

Lactantius is teaching of an infinite flat plane with an infinite heavens above, parallel.

Not many have dared to think of this logical, provable existance.

I think you did a great job with Falkner, dust shaken off sandles...

So much more to learn and discuss 😉

Regards,

Michael.

I’ve run into very, very few people who understand that the stars above must, of necessity be moving in a perfect plane, which is parallel with the surface of the plane of the earth. Anyone from antiquity who was familiar with celestial navigation, celestial zenith/ground positions, and measuring the breadth of the earth from the standard point of Polaris would of course think the earth as a sphere, bad philosophy.

As for an ‘infinite plane’... it could be, or it could not be. All we can know is how far we have charted and mapped the breadth of the earth. And because of the manner by which we measure our latitudes (circles of equal elevation around the ground position of Polaris) it’s understandable why we understand our known realm as a circle. Of course it also helps that the Creator describes or habitation as circular in many ways throughout scripture.

Anyway... I was excited to hear someone else who knows the stars are arranged in a plane over the earth, and not in a dome or sphere. That’s how we SEE them from our perspective, but to navigate from the nautical almanac and using a sextant to measure elevation angles to them (the stars) they MUST be spread across the sky in a plane, parallel with the earth plane. Thumbs up!!!
